Specialist in occasional furniture and lighting

For more than 50 years Zijlstra has made its name in the furniture Industry, supplying more than 800 products directly from stock to the furniture retailer. Deliveries take place from our warehouse in Tiel and are shipped to many countries within and outside Europe. More than 60% of the turnover is export. A wide network of sales representatives ensures for adequate support in the field.

Continuous product development

As furniture manufacturer Zijlstra works continuously to produce a contemporary range of furniture. The collection is designed and produced under supervision of Zijlstra. This guarantees the highest possible quality and a tremendous amount of flexibility. The most up to date production methods are applied and every step in the production process is precisely monitored.

Own collection

In collaboration with an experienced marketing & design team, Zijlstra develops its own collection of occasional furniture and lighting. The collection focuses fully on our key markets. Naturally we supply extensive sales support documentation. In this documentation you will find several brochures and sales tools. See "Products".

Avanced logistics centre

Zijlstra has a fully automated logistics centre with its own warehouse. The storage capacity is more than 10.000m2. Every day warehouse and expedition employees take care of the efficient processing of the huge supply of goods. In 95% of the cases, Zijlstra is able to supply the products directly from stock. The products are delivered directly with our own transportation to the retailer. It is also possible, after consultation, as retailer to collect your goods at our warehouse in Tiel.

Modelregistratie

Zijlstra ontwikkelt haar eigen producten. Wij houden deze ontwerpen graag exclusief en willen graag voorkomen dat anderen onze modellen namaken. Om dit te kunnen bereiken maken we gebruik van modelregistratie. Wanneer we een nieuw product op de markt brengen, streven we naar een succesvolle verkoop hiervan. Dit kan teniet worden gedaan als iemand anders een product op de markt brengt waarvan het uiterlijk erg overeenkomt met dat van ons. Deze persoon/ dit bedrijf kan het product misschien zelfs voor lagere kosten verkopen, want de ontwikkelkosten hoeven immers niet betaald te worden. Om namaak te voorkomen, kunnen de modellen geregistreerd worden. Met deze registratie hebben we een wapen in handen om misbruik van onze ontwerpen tegen te gaan. Met deze registratie verzetten wij ons niet alleen tegen elke vervaardiging van een product met een gelijk uiterlijk. We kunnen ook bezwaar maken tegen de invoer ervan, het te koop aanbieden, de verkoop, de verhuur, de tentoonstelling, de levering of het gebruik ervan.
