The Extreme Gloss contemporary program by Zijlstra is unrivalled in its scratch-resistance and gloss finish thereby earning it the title Extreme Gloss. This has been achieved by combining PU (polyurethane) and UV paints. In so doing, a gloss level1 of between 92 and 94% has been achieved where other furniture on the market only reaches levels of between 40 and 80%. The highly scratch-resistant UV paint is added to protect the gloss finish against scratching and wear. This unique system makes the finish’s scratch resistance2 more than twice as good as other painted furniture and also twice as strong as the paint used for top-end cars. The Extreme Gloss furniture range is sprayed by robots – in the same way as cars are painted in the automotive industry – guaranteeing a smooth, continuous finish.
